Not too long ago, the only high speed modes of transportation available to passengers worldwide were cars, buses, trains and planes. Well, move over legacy transportation of yesteryear, there’s a new player in town. Welcome to the Hyperloop! It is something you would expect to see in a sci-fi movie, a sleek looking fuselage (almost like a high speed train without the undercarriage) traveling in tubes, effortlessly and virtually friction-free onboard a cushion of air.

And Virgin, just completed its first test run with passengers onboard.
