With 24 hour surveillance through our smartphones, our television sets, apps tracking our movements, our purchases and red light cameras watching us as we drive around the city, is it possible we now have a worldwide panopticon system in place?

For years, the Chinese have been using this system of surveillance to assign a social credit score to their population. I believe a portion of it already exists in the United States with the rating systems we see for businesses on Google and with the 5 star rating systems in place for services such as Uber. And now, it seems that with the inception of Covid-19, we may see a further creep of this panopticon system into our health with the advent of health passports (and whether or not we are vaccinated).
